Julie
H. Brown - Partner
Julie Brown is a business lawyer who brings the unique background
of a trial lawyer to her corporate practice. Julie prepared
and tried cases to jury verdict for five years prior to
starting her commercial practice.
Julie represents clients in a broad range of corporate and
commercial matters including formation, representation of
new business entities, corporate compliance, dissolution, merger,
stock and asset purchase transactions, business disputes,
and
various commercial transactions. She also provides day-to-day
advice to Boards of Directors on employment matters, trademark
protection, development and licensing agreements, UCC issues
and litigation consultation. Julie represents non-profit
organizations as well as obtains liquor licenses for the hospitality industry.
She is admitted to practice in Texas as well as in the United
States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern,
and Western Districts. Julie earned her B.A. with honors
from Baylor University in 1988 and obtained her J.D. degree
from
Baylor University in 1991.
She is a member of the Dallas and American Bar Associations,
the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers,
Texas Young Lawyers Association, Texas Association of Defense
Counsel, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Practice
